What you need

A computer running macOS, Windows, or Linux, and your own work history. A finished resume is not needed. An old PDF or a plain note about yourself is enough. The first step installs Cursor for your system, and a later step installs Python for the PDFs.

How the chat works

The steps are one chat. Each message gives you one thing to do, and you tap Done or I'm stuck. Stuck gives you a short checklist, then a way to reach me. Along the way you copy files, see how your folder grows, play a real run of each skill, and check your own run against it.

What you end with

A
job-agent
folder with four skills: resume research, cover letter research, a job search, and the application writer.

One application for a real posting: a resume and a cover letter as PDFs, the form answers, and notes with a match score and follow-up dates.

The agent written into your own profile as a project, with resume bullets and one improvement you made.

What this does not include

It does not write an application from thin air. Every fact about you has to be in
profile/
, and anything you have not written stays out. It does not send applications for you.

Build a Cursor agent that researches the role, finds open jobs, and writes a resume, cover letter, and form answers from your own notes.

Job agent

The agent writes a resume, a cover letter, and the form answers for every job. Each one is shaped to that posting, so you apply to more roles without starting from a blank page.

More applications, each one tailored

Every line comes from work you actually did, then fitted to the job. A gap stays a gap. It never invents a role, a date, or a number.

Built from your real profile

Tell it the roles you want and it finds open jobs, then keeps what it learned in files you can read and reuse.

It researches the jobs for you

Each resume follows the latest recommendations for that job and for your seniority, whether you are junior, senior, or switching careers.

Current advice, for your level

You learn how to introduce your experience, one file at a time, so the agent has what it needs to write a strong resume for you.
